Before Now

The only life Alvara Hydes has ever known was in Alaska, deep in the harsh corners of the earth where she and siblings live with their 'parents'. It certainly wasn't glamorous, but to Alvara it was great. But later it turns out it isn't 'great'. Apparently, her 'parents' were actually evil mind controlling weirdos, who are controlling her brother and sisters. Then she finds a message in a bottle, telling her how to escape her seemingly inevitable fate.

So read on as Alvara finds her way to Ohio where she meets a boy, who was once in a similar predicament who introduces her to a group of eerily familiar people whom will soon walk with her through her adventures of love, betrayal, and anger.
