Inform his boss of his plans. Quit his job. Find Nora Hanson. Join her ranks. Gather intel. Destroy her. With merely 19 years and a simple human on top of that, Percy Parker was deemed the best upon the upcoming generation of cops. He was going to manage what even his star policeman of a father was struggling to do- Destroy Hanson technologies and capture Nora Hanson once and for all. In a world of vampires, beasts and humans coexisting in more or less peace, Percy finds himself desiring nothing more than revenge on his father and finally surpassing him with his greatest cue. Something his father had never managed... god beware, that man hadn't even managed to figure out what race this blackhaired woman carried inside her. Was she a vampire? A beast? A human? Percy was going to be the downfall of Nora Hanson, and he was going to destroy her from inside out, undercover, acting the part of loyalty to stab her in the back when the time was right. At least... that had been his plan. But instead Percy finds himself swarmed by former enemies accepting him as their own kin within their ranks. The feeling of power, success and acceptance grows within him as he makes his way through Hanson Technologies, and with every second he spends at Nora's side, he finds his own lust for her overwhelming him to the point of no return. A forbidden relationship blossoms upon lies and deceit, what will happen once the truth comes to life? Percy can't help himself, and while his house of lies only grows, he finds himself pulling his former colleagues and friends down into the pit alongside himself, trapping them in a net of their own lies to keep up the facade of justice. When the lines blur between police and criminals, what worth does justice hold to a city of corruption? Nobody erases the Hanson bloodline. Nobody.

Pain comes in many forms. Heartbreak, headaches, broken bones, and that quiet, soul-splitting kind that doesn't leave bruises. But the kind of pain I've witnessed goes beyond all that. Have you ever heard a man scream, really scream, as he's being beaten and his fingers broken one by one? I have. And as twisted as it might sound, in that moment, it felt... satisfying. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a psychopath. These people, they deserve it. In a world full of monsters, someone has to be worse. Someone has to be the shadow in the corner, the final judgment behind a red-drenched smile. That someone is me. Reanne Anderson. Twenty-four. Assassin for the Anderson family. Secret hacker behind their impenetrable systems but to most, I'm the Red Lady. I respect boundaries until someone crosses mine. Then I become a storm in heels, or combat boots, or whatever the hell I'm wearing that day. And then there's him. Lorenzo Russo. Twenty-eight. Newly crowned Don of the Russo family after his father was butchered by the Russian mafia. Lost his mother in the same bloodbath. He's cold, calculated and ruthless. He looks at people like he's already decided whether they're useful or dead. He's got the eyes of a man who's seen too much, felt too little, and trusts no one. Our paths were never supposed to cross. But war doesn't care about plans. He needed someone who could crack into encrypted systems. He needed a ghost. He got me. But sometimes, even in the darkest corners of the world, two dark souls might just bleed for each other.
