Twilight is the stereotypical quiet, unpopular, nerdy junior who eats lunch by herself in the library. She keeps to herself, gets good grades, and doesn't have any close friends. She's especially socially awkward and likes to draw much more than interacting with others.

Mordecai is the exact opposite. He's the stereotypical senior jock; he's always surrounded by at least ten other people (usually girls) all competing for his attention, is exceedingly loud and rowdy in class, and is the high school football team's quarterback.

They're so different that they're essentially from different worlds; that said, what will happen when they cross paths?
