Laura Laurier was spontaneous. She was a passenger on the ride of life, uncaring or unaware of the turns she took. She just followed wherever the road led her. Until one fateful drive, where giving up control cost her nearly everything.

After refusing to drive on a trip home from dinner with her parents, Laura's father stepped into the driver's seat and drove down a path that he and her mother would never come back from. Now, forced by the pitfalls of life to move in with her Aunt June, Uncle Tim, and cousin Allen in Bennington, Vermont, Laura has taken the wheel and refuses to give it up ever again.

At her new school, Laura is determined to start over. In order to pretend like her past never happened, no one can know why she needed to move to Bennington.

Jesse Ashford was always in control. In the ride of life, he jumped in the driver's seat to speed down his path, trying his best to outrun his past. Once a close friend of Allen and his friend group, Jesse has since pulled back and stuck to himself.

Outrunning their pasts led to them running into each other and when Laura and Jesse's roads cross, Laura tries to steer clear of him. However, Jesse is drawn to the mystery that surrounds the new girl in town.

Now, Laura has to decide if she can remain in control while opening up to Jesse, or if the only way to escape her past is to stay in her own lane.

Book One of Five in the New Beginnings Series. **You do NOT have to read Inhale, Exhale, & Breathe to enjoy these stories** #1 in bxb tag: 09/21/2024 #4 in friendstolovers tag: 9/21/2024 CYRUS PIERCE: I'm content in my almost soundless world. I prefer to live through the romance stories I weave and post online. Hardly anyone reads my books, even if they're free, but I do have one fan, and he's supported me since I started writing two years ago. Except, my writing started to take a depressing dive when I realized that you simply couldn't prevent nor protect your heart from falling for someone. For him. For the one who had no interest in me. When I fell in love with him, I thought we had a chance. It was an accident. Turned out, I couldn't be more wrong. He doesn't want me, and I wasn't supposed to have him. It didn't matter if he showed up in the bookstore every day, talking to everyone else except me. Nor did it matter at all because he didn't know sign language. He couldn't learn. We couldn't communicate. But after I go on a date and it ends in putrid disaster, he makes his appearance known, and he's angry. Then he's doing things for me that confuse me. My stories are filling up with pages of content, dreams that I want to come true, and my mystery commenter encourages me to continue-to reach my happiness. To take what I want. But the activities planned start sparking familiarity-like I lived it before, or maybe dreamed it. Or maybe, just maybe, I'd written it before? My mind is spiraling, but I can't stop myself from getting closer and closer to him. I'm not supposed to have him, but my heart craves him. Sage Monroe, I'm in love with you, and I'm scared now because I have a feeling that you've been communicating with me in more ways than one.
Trusting Grace by ilovefelix217

"I've been burned once, who is to say it will not happen again" I spoke quietly watching her closely. Grace confused me like no other she wormed her way into my heart with her easy-going smiles, kind nature, and gentle heart. Feeling her small hands hold my large ones I glance down into her green eyes "You need to trust that I am not Mia have I not proven to you Cassian, I am here to stay you fit with me" she said in a gentle yet firm tone. The smile she sent me held love, comfort and that was all it took after months of breaking down the walls I decided to take a leap of faith. *********************************************** Cassian Grey had been burned once and that was enough for him after sharing a business deal with his four other brothers they opened up The Grey Gull on the coast of Cornwall, England. A fresh start is what these guys needed and a fresh start is what they will get. Grace Bauer is an art historian with her own little gallery where she brings long-forgotten pieces of beauty back to life. She too had been burned so when she hears of this bar and grill opening up she knows her friends are just dying to try it out. What both of these souls don't realize is that once thrown in each other's paths they soon realize that maybe just maybe they are what the other half needs in one another. It may take a little more convincing on Cassian's part but can he take that leap of faith and trust Grace. All rights are reserved names of places mentioned in this book are all real places however the story line and names of the characters are all from my own ideas. Fault Lines by TrinidadRimoldi
25 parts Complete Mature
Grace was the quintessential sheltered girl. Her parents had gone through hell to have her and in a sad twist, instead of letting her enjoy the life they'd finally (finally!!) given her, they'd made her afraid to actually live it. And that helicopter style of parenting had emboldened her parents enough to believe their input in every decision making was not only important, but essential. Her life was mapped and planned to the last minute by her overbearing mother. Her future, in her mother's plans, was already set, regardless of Grace's thoughts on the matter. Her only solace, throughout her life were her best friends Liz and Ben. Liz was a similar story in the sense that her parents were strict, but for different reasons. Her older sister was a walking talking afterschool special, and because of this, her parent's default parenting setting was untrusting. And Ben, even though he came from a more laid back household, with a single mother and a lot of rambunctious brothers, he had been in all her classes and there wasn't much Grace's parents could do to keep them from bonding during school projects. But sadly Ben had passed away in a car accident fall of Junior year. So, essentially, Grace was a boiling pot waiting to be pushed. Jack has always known he liked Grace, his twin brother's best friend, but he never dared to act on it. She was shy, and only ever truly came out of her shell around Ben, Jack's twin. When tragedy strikes and Ben dies, everything changes, and Jack finds himself drawn to Grace in ways he never expected. But just when their connection begins to grow, another tragedy tears them apart, leaving Jack broken and Grace on a journey of personal growth. Years later, fate brings them together again. Can they rebuild what was lost, or is the past too heavy to overcome? A powerful story of love, loss, and the paths that lead us back to each other when we least expect it.

"If you asked me three months ago what heartbreak was, I would tell you it's losing somebody close to you due to unspeakable circumstances. But right now, in this moment, I would say it's you. I would say it's the feeling I got in my chest when I realized I was out of time. When I stood in the rain and yelled for you to stay, but all I saw was your back. I would say heartbreak is lying in bed at two in the morning, watching my ceiling fan go around and around, wondering why you couldn't stop to listen. Two seconds. All I needed was two seconds to say the words. All I needed was to seconds for me to tell you I was in love with you. With everything about you. With the way you move, and the feeling of your arms around me. With the feeling of your chest vibrating as you laugh. Heartbreak is falling in love with everything about you, but having the words permanently stuck in my throat." _____ Gracelyn Levinsky grew up with Daniel Grey. She has always looked to him as a brother, but when she escapes from her abusive Mom and moves to the same town Danny moved to when he was ten, she finds out that he's in love with her. After countless attempts to get her to feel the same, Danny gives up. But when Grace realizes just how much she does love Danny, words can't help her because he shut her out of his life completely. How do you tell somebody who you can't talk to that you're in love with them? Simple. You force them to listen. WARNING: THIS STORY INCLUDES THE VERY ATTRACTIVE DANIEL GREY WHO REMINDS ME AND EVERYONE WITH OVARIES OF A SOFT GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY THAT IS SLEEPING ON YOUR CHEST SO PLEASE BEWARE THAT YOUR OVARIES WILL EXPLODE WHILE READING THIS STORY! AN: please don't steal this story. I'm working/have worked really hard to create this and develop the characters and story line. This is solely made up out of my mind. The cover was made by @nerdfpiper and I highly recommend her!
