All his life he had been told he was special, and Triumph took pride in that. He enjoyed the satisfaction of having a title that overpowered every other creature in the mansion, and he was treated as if he were royalty. But as he got older that came with the weight of more and more responsibility. All of his carefully considered actions had equal consequences. He had to make sure every move he made was the right one. Until he slipped up. So maybe that was how he ended up there, because out of all of the things he expected to get out of life, venturing into the Nether was far from his anticipations.
