Izuku Midoriya has been mistreated since his peers found out about his..."defect". He was born quirkless. As Izuku gets in older the bullying never gets better. Izuku tries to rekindle his relationship with his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugou. Bakugou treats Izuku terribly and even gave him a nickname, "Deku" which means, "Useless." Katsuki soon goes too far with the bullying, as far as telling Izuku to kill himself and hope for a quirk in his next life. Izuku takes this advice and jumps off of the junior high roof. Katsuki is devastated. Things take a turn when Izuku finds out he really wasn't born quirkless.
