Nathaniel blinked, caught off guard by the suggestion. "A swim? Now?"

"Why not?" she said with a playful grin. "It's the perfect night for it. Come on, it'll be fun."

Before he could respond, Adaliya was already pulling off her shorts and shirt, revealing the simple white and pink underwear she wore underneath... she didn't seem to care about the fact that she was practically undressing in front of him, her confidence in herself evident as she stepped into the water, the moonlight reflecting off her skin.

Nathaniel's mouth went dry, his heart pounding as he watched her wade into the water, her laughter echoing across the shore. She was completely oblivious to the effect she was having on him, to the way his thoughts were spiraling out of control.

Nathaniel's breath hitched as she came even closer, the water pushing them together.

He was hyper-aware of her proximity, of the way her skin brushed against his, sending shivers down his spine. He tried to keep his desire that was building inside him, but it was nearly impossible.

You all must have seen movies and read books about Love triangles. But this is not a triangle, It's a Rec-tangled. Lexi Wolf, Queen Bee of Pinewood High, stuck in a twisted rectangle of love, full of confusion, humor, silliness, pretense, jealousy, and heartbreaks. * * * * * "Stay with me, Lexi." He tucked my hair behind my ear. I wasn't the drunk one here, but the way he gazed at me with his deep eyes was enough to make me. I blinked my eyes at him and shook my head, trying to clear the fog in it. The fact that I was laying over him, with our chest pressed together and his hand on my waist wasn't helping either. "I-I... I don't think that's a good idea," I whispered, finally getting my voice back. "Why?" He looked at me intensely. "Is it because of your boyfriend?" "No." "Then what's the problem?" His thumb lightly creased my back from where my top had gotten up, making me quiver. "Why can't you stay?" "I..." "Don't you trust me, Lexi?" "Of course I do, I just..." I moved a little to get off him, but in a swift motion, he flipped us on the bed with him on the top this time. Gasping in surprise, my eyes grew big and I put my hands on his strong biceps. He put his forearm on either side of my face, leaning on them. I rubbed my thighs together which were between his legs. I was trapped between him and the bed. My breath hitched as he leaned in until our noses touched. "You just what?" My entire body heated as I felt his muscular chest pressed against mine. I bit my lip and tried to control my stupid hormones, but it made it worse when Noah's gaze went to my lips. I saw his Adam's apple bob as he continued to stare at my lips. My throat felt dry and my eyes darted to his. He stuck his tongue out and licked his lower lip. OMG, I'm in deep trouble! * * * * * Editing. "Hey, love?" I jumped at the sound of his voice. He was leaning against my doorway in his t-shirt and a pair of boxers. Of course, he looked like one of those Calvin Klein models, except softer, more homey somehow. Ultimately making me struggle to not have sex with him right now. "Yeah?" I asked, walking up to him. His arms wrapped around my body, pressing me to him. His hands slid down my body, cupping every curve as they went. They stopped on my bare ass as he gave my bum a squeeze. Clay dipped his head, kissing my collarbone in a seductive manner, making me feel freshly turned on all over again. How was I going to contain myself, being around this man all the time? When he'd kissed up my neck, he drew small circles with his tongue, biting me lightly. He'd made it up my jaw, and when he was close to my lips, he paused. "Don't fall in love with me." He muttered quietly but made sure that I could hear him. My knees felt weak. Of course, I wasn't going to fall in love with the guy. - - - When Adalyn finally believed she had her life on track, of course, it decided to throw itself off the track when she least expected it to. Leaving her girlfriend was one thing, but then moving in with a man she barely knows? This was completely unlike her. She found herself falling for her newfound fling, who's also her new roommate...whom she specifically agreed NOT to fall in love with. It's pretty simple, right? All she needed to remember, though, was the fact that their relationship was strictly no strings attached. Damian's laughter was warm as he took the cracker, the smile forming on his face one of the kind that made the world unbelievably bright despite the dark sky above them. Emilia couldn't help but smile in return, warmth flooding her chest at the sight of his crinkling eyes. He was just so beautiful. She didn't know how many times she'd thought it since first meeting him last winter, but she was sure, as her eyes lingered for a long time on every angle and curve of his face, that she would never stop thinking it. That she would never think it too much because it was so absolutely true. The way the moon caught on the few gold strands strewn throughout his brown hair, the curve of his lips in his smile, the sparkle of the stars reflected in his eyes. She wanted to memorize him, to recall every freckle and eyelash, to never forget the way he blinked-softly-or the way he breathed-steadily." **WARNING: -considerable swearing -TW: brief discussion of depression in Chapter 4, bipolar disorder in Chapter 5
