Want To Beat Your Heart

I can hear my heartbeat get faster, with each second passing of me looking at this girl. The room feels warm, much warmer than just a second before. Her hands are trembling under the pressure of her tightly closing fists that she's resting on her lap. Is she afraid of me that much? And why do I suddenly want to comfort her. It's like all my anger flew out the window the moment she looked in my eyes. She has now closed them and looked as if she was uncertain of what's gonna happen. I'm also unsure what this situation is, unsure of what will happen next, but I can only feel this unbelievable urge to get closer and closer to her burning, red face. And as I did, she finally opened her eyes, and we both looked at each other in silence. She stared at me with innocent, doe eyes as I looked up and down and said in a whisper: "You look a lot cuter up close."
