'Later that night the fisherman was found dead.'
Three girls travel to find what they need to open a diary found at the scene of a disappearance. A Pirate, a girl accused of being a witch and a girl who lost her father to a diary. If these girls can open the diary, they could solve a mystery, no man on earth could. But if they don't get everything right, they could destroy the world. The Heroes of a story aren't always the ones that seem clear. '"We'll see about that"' Said a pirate, but things you read aren't always true, but this is. Scarlet is based on a real person; all my characters are apart from some who aren't that big of a part. l wanted you to know this because, people always say don't believe everything you read, but in my book most of it is true.

Hope can't remember what happened the night of the tragedy, but everyone assures her she couldn't have done anything to save her sister. Juliet Price has attended Redwood High since the beginning of sophomore year, but she's never spoken to Hope, Juliet doesn't fit in with her classmates as she wasn't born rich and she didn't grow up getting everything she wanted. The only reason Juliet is at the exclusive private school is because she's living with her wealthy aunt and uncle. Juliet knows what happened to Eleanor Flynn, most of the world does. The Flynn family are very wealthy and very famous. Even though Juliet and Hope have never spoken, Juliet can tell that Hope is acting weird and she doesn't think it's entirely because Eleanor is dead. When Juliet and Hope are brought together through a class project, Juliet starts to realize that Hope won't be able to start moving on unless she finds out what happened the night her sister died, and why she can't remember it. When the two start investigating, they realize that the truth is pointing to something dark. Almost everyone attending Redwood has secrets, and they'll do what it takes to keep them private. When the truth starts to come out, Hope is left to wonder if she remembers the dreadful night and finds out she had something to do with it, will she ever forgive herself?

Book 1 of the "Used to Be" Series Scarlett Fisher: the school's resident mean girl. Beautiful, smart (but doesn't let people know), charismatic, confident (or at least that's what everyone thinks.) The truth is, she's scared, Scared that one day people will see past her smile and charm, and see the person she really is on the inside. Scared that someone will remember who she used to be. ~•~ Now I know I seem like a bitch, and your probably thinking I'm your stereotypical mean girl, but I wasn't always like this, back when high school first started. I had a best friend who I thought I would be friends with forever. I was shy and timid, and I was foolish enough to believe what people told me. Back then everyone knew me as Arora. After the incident I decided to stop going by my first name, I had also learned that being mean, and not taking anything form anyone was the only way to get people to treat you with respect. ~•~ Arora Fisher: the girl most people didn't notice until they needed help with homework, the girl who was voted most likely to disappear and no one would notice. The girl who her believed in the good in others, who wanted to just give people a chance, no matter how many red flags. The girl who was lost to tragedy. ~•~ "We'll be broken together." He try's to smile, but he can't manage it and I nod, knowing how much pain he feels. "We'll be broken together." I whisper, after that we sit there, in an empty silence, neither of us wanting to be the first one to speak again, because it feels off, like the sound of our own voices might somehow break our hearts more.

He's smart, creative and caring. Unfortunately his girlfriend passed away, recently. It seems like he can't move on without her. And when the summer break begins he's stuck at home with nothing but her memory. The odd part about it, is that he's the only one who remembers her. Step by step people seem to forget her. Her life slowly fades away. Owen is determined to find out what happened to her. Or is he just going crazy? He needs to be fast before he, too, forgets. Scarlet Wright. A teenage girl. She's rude, sarcastic, and rebellious. She has always been the center of attention. She knows what she wants and gets it, no matter what. Though during summer she gets awfully interested about this boy named Owen. He's the only one in town with his head high in the clouds. The only one who doesn't admire Scarlet's beauty. And she can't stand it. She gets caught up in this story as well. They agree to see passed each others differences and unravel the mystery about the girl, named Dawn.
