What if I told you Malcolm Merlyn had more than Thea and Tommy. Catherine Merlyn was killed during the Undertaking. Malcolm was crushed. He set out to find some way to get her back. Then, Cisco Ramon created the extrapolator. Malcolm stole one and went to Earth-X.  He had her join the order to take down the Earth-1 heroes. He works with her side by side for his mission.
