it's okay to be gay

Lex is a bright, young teenager - daring, happy, and polite. Soon, she figures her sexual orientation and comes out as gay, which her strict, conservative peers aren't okay with, other than her girlfriend. Senior prom is coming up and Lex wants to bring her girlfriend, Mariah, to prom, but she knows her family will not approve. Through series of ups and downs of Lex's senior year, it is up to Lex to be proud of her identity.
