What is DMS and what are the advantages of this system?

Driver monitoring systems (DMS) is used to collect identifiable information about the driver for assessing capability of the driver to perform the driving task safely. DMS monitors with video cameras and controls: facial recognition and head movement, heart rate and blink monitoring, steering angle sensor and a pre-collision system.

Main advantages of driver monitoring systems are permanent monitoring of the driver's condition, driving style and minimizing the number of road accidents.
