The Spy turned Prisoner. 

As they say, dead men (or women, as the case may be) tell no tales. But Kathleen Winfred isn't dead; she managed to escape. Now, the story of her capture by Nazis in occupied France, and her time spent in a hotel-turned-prison must be reported to her superiors. Most stories like Kathleen's are simple: captured, taken prisoner, and, finally, a daring or lucky escape to freedom.

But Kathleen's is a little more complicated than that, and to sort out what goes to her superiors in the end, she has to wade through the memories first.

Kathleen had been imprisoned for years. She had no idea who they were or why she was there. Every day for years it had been the same thing. No talking or communicating with her captors after the first year she no longer tried. Getting beaten for making any noise at all. They didn't even speak within hearing distance of her. She was given a book and daily exercise but hadn't seen the sun or outside since she was put in her cell. Until that day when it all changed. Aliens existed and she was going somewhere with them, not sure as to where but at least she was out of her cell. She would not go back in one no matter how nice her new 'cage' seemed. Thinking of continuing this as another story with other humans and aliens. Like after Kathleen's abduction.

As if being orphaned, broke and forced to answer an Ad for a mail order bride isn't bad enough. Lily finds out, much too late, that she must be a mother as well. Unfortunately for her, being a mother is the least of her problems compared to the very glaring problem of whose mother she has to be; a mother to six children. * Raymond doesn't exactly have a choice when he decides to put out an Ad for a mail order bride, excluding the very major detail of his six children. With the dire need of proper feeding, care and love that his children are in, he would much rather lie to a woman than lose his children to starvation. Leaving out his children's existence is not the only thing Raymond has done, he has also left out the fact that he has no intention of being intimate with his new wife. The plan was to acquire a housekeeper in the guise of a wife and live as friendly strangers. Raymond is not prepared for the feisty blond that answers to his Ad or the fact that it is becoming more and more difficult to ignore her presence.
