Marauders
He carved into his bed again.
They were right, it did have a nice ring to it.
Two days until the next full moon. Twelve hours until tomorrow's classes. Roughly thirty seconds before James asked him to have another piece of the candy he was eating.
Sirius popped into his mind again.
"No", he thought to himself as he continued to fight it.
Carvings and countdowns used to be the only thing that steadied Remus's mind, why was he struggling now?
Remus sighed. He hated that vexatious grin of his, yet it kept overriding his thoughts.
"Is it cool if I have another piece?", James asked just as he had predicted.
"Yeah", Remus tossed him one.
He didn't have this feeling with James, or Peter, or anyone else for that matter. Played records, borrowed books, and shared secrets were moments all friends shared, but why did it feel so different with him?
He turned back over and figured one last carving couldn't hurt. He decided to go back to his old routine of writing his name, maybe the familiarity of it would ground himself again.
He pulled his hand away abruptly as he noticed he had subconsciously began to write an "S" instead of an "R"
"Shit", he thought to himself, "This is really getting bad."
That stupid Sirius Black grin of his.

That was just a little snippet of a future scene I'd thought of, trying to set the tone :) This fic is pretty slow-paced at first, as both are hesitant in their feelings, but I promise it's worth the wait. The story is mostly told in Remus's third person pov, with small bits of Sirius's scattered here and there. I HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT, feel free to leave comments and feedback, I love reading them <3

Here I bring to you, native and non-native English speakers, the English transcription of Marauder!Crack by Irati, a fanfiction that revolutionized the fanfiction world of Harry Potter, more concretely the Marauder's Era in Hispanoamerica. I am not, in any possible way, saying this is from my authorship, because it is NOT, and it's my holiday proyect to spread this excellent fanfiction to you, so you can enjoy it as much as I and so many other people did. This is something like a myth: we do not have trazable records of who Irati actually is. She/He/It wrote this in a period of time between 2004-2008, in a LiveJournal that is no longer available for everyone. Eventhough, people since then have been spreading pdf's with transcriptions of the publications of the LiveJournal (extremely difficult to find if you ask me) with the mere intention to keep this story alive, because is extremely well written and with an astonishing profundity of the characters that you may not seen in many fanfictions. So I say that again, never seen any translations of it, and as I am a passionate of English Literature and Law, I bring this to you to expread the story for your enjoyment and help (and force) myself to practice my English. Not an English speaker as you presume, so squeeze me for any misconceptions, I do know many of you would do this job far better than me, as so anything that improves my narrative skills and knowledge will be highly accepted and very well received. Do I have anything more to say? Not at all, but to dive into this long enough story, full of exciting and joyfull moments that will make you a good laugh, and also sometimes a good cry, because you will get to know our Mssr Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, and also pretty Lily in a way most emphatical, and deep, with their teenage issues and prides. It's been a few weeks now. Remus hears them every fucking night, and he can't stand it anymore. Well he doesn't hear them usually because of the silencing spell, but he knows they're here, every night, fucking in his dorm. He knows it because he smells them. He smells sweat and sex, and that's the worst thing ever. He hears her walk in every night around eleven thirty, go to his bed, and cast the silencing spell. They could have a bit of modesty and do it somewhere else, where there's not other people sleeping for god's sake. At first he was surprised when they started dating. He was friends with Mary long before Sirius even knew her name, so he'd thought she'd have told him. But he'd started realize there wasn't much between them, except for their night meetings. A group of first year had surprised them in an embarrassing situation and decided to tell the whole Gryffindor common room that Sirius Black had a girlfriend. They didn't want to tell the truth, that they were only "fuck-buddies", so they played along with it. Or how Sirius and Remus got together in 5th year, after a series of unexpected events. Its been two years since the marauders have graduated. James and Lily are married with a baby on the way, and Sirius and Peter are very busy with the Order. Meanwhile, Remus is just trying to survive his transitions in such a volatile time. No one wants to hire a werewolf, and the Order isn't well enough equipped to handle the full moons. Dumbledore offers him a position at the Hogwarts library as an assistant. There he can do research for the Order, as well as spend his moons like he did during his school years. Tessa Downing is a sixth year Hufflepuff. After a summer of chaos and hiding, she's having trouble transitioning back at school. Constantly worried about her muggle parents, Tessa's grades slip and she begins to spend more time at the library. Thankfully the new assistant is willing to help her. She was tired, she was so bloody tired of it all. From the constant nagging and picking and pulling to the waking up at 6 am everyday to do that stupid crap. She didn't think it was stupid really, she just didn't like having to do it. She didn't really like having to do schoolwork either, but she found herself to be fond of the teachers and the curriculums. Most of all though, she didn't mind being at school all too much because it kept her away from the house. She found James to be nice, and Sirius to be troublesome, Peter was quite thoughtful, but Remus, he was kind to her. She had found that Remus was her favorite of them all, he was really very kind to her. What she had really come to see though, was the fact that he had scars too, and that meant they matched. Mature content. There are certain parts of this story that I will put a trigger warning before but you should keep cautioun when reading because I mention a lot of triggering things and topics in this book including self harm, abuse, mental illnesses etc. Also, the first year is really shitty writing and like the first part of fourth but I swear it gets so much better. I just haven't gotten around to editing the bad bits yet :( Credit to J.K. Rowling for the characters and parts of the plot and obviously Hogwarts fandom and Everything Harry Potter related.
