It was the year of 1953 that everything changed for sixteen year old Simon Colt. In his small Georgia town, everything stayed in the same and nobody dared mess up the way things went. But when Simon's high school suddenly recieves a music teacher for its program that had shut down many years, questions begin to arise about why Landon Wilkes, the principal, would hire a music teacher. Simon, by accident, finds himself leading the school's music comeback, despite his wishes. Secrets begin to arise about reasons why the music program has a sudden revival, and the music teacher himself. Suddenly, Simon finds himself in the middle of the biggest crisis to rock his small town, and questioning what exactly he believes in, and what he needs to stand up for.
