Even Heroes Have Scars (Revised)

The year is 2014. Ansley was abused by her father until he died. Her mother passed away several years ago, leaving Ansley, a twenty year old girl, to raise her twelve year old brother on her own in Dallas, Texas. As a traumatized, mentally ill girl, she's forced to keep living to take care of her younger brother, Jacob. Meanwhile, Jacob quickly becomes friends with a girl at his new school. A girl who just so happens to be Madison De La Garza, Demi Lovato's younger sister. Fate or a coincidence, Ansley meets Demi when picking up her brother from Maddie's house. Demi comes into Ansley's life in a way she'd never expect, attempting to rescue her from her demons while slowly falling in love with her in the month leading up to Demi's 2014 World Tour. Can they make it?

Note: This was originally written by me on Wattpad already, but I am revising it and posting it again as a separate version. The other version has the same name. Both versions have similar plot lines, but this version is more sophisticated. You don't have to read the other version to read this version. There will be significant changes between the other version and this one.

I am attempting to keep this as similar and realistic to Demi's life at the time as possible. Demi has come out as non-binary in real life, using they/them pronouns, but up until the chronological point in the story where Demi discovers this about themselves, Demi's pronouns will remain as she/her unless one of you readers asks me to change that.
