I heard a soft gasp as Moon got her first look at the enemy. "They look so small." "And what are those things in the water?" Qibli asked. "Ships. Supply ships." I gravely said. "They're probably establishing a beachhead to prepare for operations here." "Operations?" I turned over to face Qibli. "To prepare for war, SandWing. These people are here for war." A squad of 101st Airborne, bound for Japan after VE Day, are suddenly and mysteriously wrecked in Pyrrhia, a land of dragons and adventure. Do they have what it takes to survive and get home? What new and strange rules are to be found in this place? Are they able to face down a traitor in their midst? Or will they drag the war to the peaceful inhabitants of this new place, so that it truly engulfs all worlds? Follow Lieutenant Marvin with his ragtag squad of men; and Moonwatcher, a Nightwing with mind-reading and precognition abilities, in the first installment of the Wings of Honor series! This story takes place after the 3rd arc, and has spoilers for the 2nd arc (books 6-10). I wrote this before the end of the 3rd arc, and have therefore taken some artistic liberties. I did not read any of the arc 3 books when I wrote this, I only gathered information from the WOF Wiki. I do not claim ownership of the Wings of Fire book series by Tui T. Sutherland and Scholastic. Battle Scars | Book 1 (DISCONTINUED) by flightmare_kid

This is a rewrite of my old story, Battle Scars. There will be a few plot changes but nothing too major. ---------------------------- The Alryne tribe was known to be a very power-hungry group of Vikings, however they have remained quiet for generations. Now the tribe has faded into legend. However, their current leader, Brendan the Battle Winner, has found the location of the King of Dragons. And he wants it for himself. It is located on the island of Berk, but that island is known to have dragon-riding warriors who have defeated villains such as Viggo Grimborn and even Drago Bludvist, so he must plan carefully. He starts by sending out a group of scouts lead by his daughter Brenna, and in that group is a girl named Alice Flarson. On their journey to Berk, they are attacked by one of the rarest and feared dragons in the world: the Flightmare. A dragon that glows as bright as the sun and is capable of freezing its enemies in fear. The dragon is struck down, but Alice finds it injured on the small island where the group temporarily set up camp. She frees the dragon and flees back to her camp, but as time goes on she finds herself going back to find the dragon and even befriending it. During all of this she discovers a side to dragons that no one from her tribe ever saw, and she makes it her job to warn the chief of Berk before Alryne can take the king of dragons and put the entire dragon kind at jeopardy. War against Alryne is inevitable, but Alice thinks she might be able to help Berk prepare for the battle ahead.

I don't know what we're gonna do. We have no magic, no manpower, no strength. Only rifles and our wits... and a few tricks up my sleeve. I don't know. I've never been Captain before. I just... I hope I can rescue him in time. Hopefully... hopefully before the world falls apart. With what remains of Marvin's squad scattered to the winds, most of the Jade Winglet lost or unaccounted for, allies far away, and the enemy in a position to strike, the situation is all but hopeless. But a select three are not giving up. Not by a long shot. If they even have a chance to get home, they will have to take on the strongest army in Phyrrian history. And they might not make it alone. I'll be keeping Glory in bc I don't wanna leave out our sassy Rainwing queen, and also bc plot. Of course, there will be plenty of things that will change, which you will see as the story progresses! Keep in mind that characters may act OOC (Out Of Character) to fit my writing style, so I don't want to see any of you yell at me about it.
