Most of what remains in Hyrule believe that only monsters were the only ones able to use magic since before the Calamity, that was until a hylian boy named (Y/N) mysteriously appears with the power of fire, ice, and lightning at his finger tips.
He didn't think much of his still weak abilities, that they wouldn't have been of actually use other than helping other travelers with a 50/50 chance of succeeding. That was until he heard word of the recently awoken champion and a new found goal set in mind.

Until The Last Breath
A lot of work needs to be done to rebuild Hyrule, and to convince others to help will take a lot of work from Link and Zelda. Having all his memories back, Link is plagued with thoughts and memories of the Champions, wishing he could go back in time and save them. He can't focus on the past too much though, because an incredible threat has woken up, and will certainly destroy Hyrule if nothing is done soon. Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all?
