Eloise Kane's life is crumbling before her eyes - her parents face financial disputes, her siblings are ill or have resorted to thievery, and her best friend Joan is moving almost 3,000 miles to New York City.

Despite holding the unofficial title as Cardiff's "Unluckiest Person Alive", and as part of her master plan, Eloise decides to enjoy the remainder of her summer break before leaving town for good by going for an old-fashioned solo hike in the secluded woods. 

Along the way, she discovers a water well with a sign posted in front with the message: "A Wish For A Sin".

What could go wrong?
