When they come close even...
Mermaids attack.
How do I know?
I'm a mermaid.
But not one of those....
I stay down at the sand bank down below and feed on tiny shrimp and seed weed, until I got captured.
This is my daily diary of how human life has changed me.

A queen is nearing the end of her 20s and has yet to marry and to make a proper heir to her throne. Instead, she has her lady consorts to play with. Her council will not leave her alone. She is of the bloodline of a long-gone sea goddess. She also is the only one of her kind that can feel and fall in love. 14 years in the past, the queen and the mermaid met. The latter saving the former from a drowning at sea. Over a course of one summer, they became the best of friends. They separate because of their fates. Then happenstance has them reuniting again. A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.Complete

The water is my home...It is the only place I feel free...I can go anywhere, be anything as long as I kept to myself...It has been years on my own and every once in a while I return to a place I had found happiness.
