"Alatus."

"Yes Rex Lapis?"

The Geo God sighed.

"You're free from your contract. Free to travel, free to go. In shorter terms, you're retired. I am sure you are aware of that?"

Alatus nodded.

"I am well aware, Rex Lapis. Though I'm afraid I'm not interested in such mundane activities- "

"Love, it is indeed such a beautiful thing." Rex Lapis cut him off.

Alatus raised his eyebrows at the statement. Utterly confused on why he said that so suddenly.

"I must admit, it quite hurts. A lot, actually." Rex Lapis said while closing his eyes, reminiscing some memories.

And Alatus did not miss to notice his expressions.

"If it hurts, then why love in the first place?" Alatus scoffed.

Rex Lapis looked at the adeptus beside him, a small smile forming on his lips.

"This world is a mysterious place, Alatus. We do not know well on how it works, nor the secrets that is also buried deep within. But one thing for sure is that, life is interesting, and living is a blessing."

That made Alatus think.

"And love is..."

Rex Lapis paused and did a brief smile, before continuing with his words.

"And love is what makes this world beautiful."
