Lani Starfire is on the run. She's on the run from her country, the Deathling, and an inescapable truth about herself. With Dex at her side, she's disappeared into the east. But the Deathling hunts her relentlessly, still believing her to be the savior the Scells need. When an irreversible shift occurs, Lani must re-evaluate all her goals and priorities for her future. What was once a black and white fight is now colored with gray. She will be forced to choose between the future of her country and kin, and her life of solitude with Dex.

Perhaps it's time for her to take a stand. A stand that will rock the nation of Vardia at its very core.
