"Yeah? What's it to you, Pipsqueak?" Steve could see now there were four men congregated around the young woman. The man who had spoken up was clearly the leader of the group- the biggest, the ugliest, and the meanest-looking of the four. In the back of his mind, Steve already knew how this was going to end for him, and it wasn't well. But this poor dame didn't deserve to be harassed by these bozos, and if he was the only one around to help, then so be it.
