When a young boy gets separated from his family on a hike he ends up with more than expected, a new home, a new thing to protect, and a new brother.

Years later a strange disease begins to take over their forest home, killing the plants and causing the animals to grow violent. Strange monsters rule the night and the sense of safety is gone. Will the boys be able to find what's happening, and more importantly, stop it?
