Her aunt Kate had slipped up about it and her parents agreed that she could be trained. Which they regret deeply. Now that's because she went with  her parents and aunt kate back to beacon hills, just to check on it for werewolves. She was 13 at the time and 13 when she was 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯. They left early because of it. Despite the code Chris, Victoria, and Kate decided to keep her alive. And they all vowed to never 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 tell anyone else. Despite all of the training she endured about how all supernatural with monsters, she never did want to kill them. But she does have blood on her hands even when she was turned actually that's when she had to go on missions more. Because of this she had a tendency to rebel against her parents. Although Hope keeps these 2 secrets from her twin she keeps nothing else from her, they tell each other anything and everything and are closer than ever. Hell they were basically attached at the hip.
