17 year old Len Barlowe lives in Indianapolis with his father, whom he respectfully dislikes. Despite the grand city and amazing buildings, the two unfortunately live together on the outskirts of the city. As Len grew up, him and his father grew apart. They never see things eye to eye, and their arguing will always end up leaving someone hurt in the end. As if things couldn't get any worse, Len has to deal with school as well. More specifically, his school bullies. Each passing day, the count of bruises on the boy's body go up and up. Will this life ever end?

One day, Len receives a call from his beloved mother, who he hasn't seen since he was nine; the reason being is because his parents divorced, and his mother moved to NYC, owning a mind boggling mansion which he has seen once or twice. So, his mother invites him over to NYC to visit her, and of course, he accepts. Without saying any farewells to his father, he packs up his things, and books a flight to the Empire State. Once Len arrives at his mother's mansion, she surprises her son with a trip to Paris! And just like that, his life turns around; and for the better.  What will happen next, you may ask?
