Bruised all over , blood streaking down my thighs as I stay struggling to fill my lungs with oxygen, I lay there battered and broken on the side walk by the same man I still adore with no strength to stand, just little enough to breathe. Fear, Pain , My companions. Tears ? No where to be found. And as the sun crawls out of wherever it went for the night, I never thought I'd see the light of another day. Instead of crying I'd Smile because the worst is yet to come, I'm lucky enough to see the sun.

My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart.
