The Waiting Room

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There aren't enough seats
For 7 Billion People
The Waiting Room is where we are
Chairs upon Chairs.
Made by the people, for the people.
And then there's me.
And we sit and watch.
We wait for things such as love.
You're afraid of it, though.
But you see love every day
We see how it should look
Throughout our lives, we're told;
we're told how to love.
we're told how to live.
Then I look into the window of life
And it's cold. And it's harsh. And I see nothing out there.
When we honestly expected more..
So I take a look into the window of love.
And then there's you.
You make the wait bearable
You made love real
You're someone to sit with
Until it's time to go.
The Waiting Room is where we are
And then there's us.
