Here I am, staring out onto the desolate sandy wasteland that is now our home. I can't believe that once, we were normal teenagers worrying about relationships and school. But no, we aren't normal. That's why the government banished us here, to the middle of nowhere. To the Desert.
Author's Note: This may sound like the book "The Scorch Trials". I have never read this and I did not get my idea from it.

I've been on the run for three years. I'm not the first, but I certainly won't be the last. For as long as I can remember, I had been experimented on, drugged to the brink of insanity, and tortured by someone I thought was my family. Boy, was I wrong.
