The Sun Expelled a massive surge of energy towards earth, Of which People were exposed to this and many died, but Eight People That were part of surge, Learned that they had Newfound "Abilities", six of the eight used their "Surges" as the world calls them, to Help others and create a new Profession of Hero. And the most profound hero's were given the title of Superhero, Generation after generation people started to realize that the human race will be forever be changed to have these surges, Most people weren't fortunate enough to get the more powerful Surges, but of those who did, most of them chose to pursue becoming a hero, but people soon realized that if these surges existed then they could use them for evil, but for now young Nathan Drake would have a more serious problem then minor villains but something much more sinister.

This takes place during a time where heroes are currently recruiting new sidekicks- Those heroes, of course, were most likely to be young, still in high school type of age.
