After the events of the battle of New York, Loki Laufeyson is apprehended by his brother Thor and brought to Asgard for punishment. He is condemned to imprisonment in the dungeons for as long as he shall live. Odin Allfather, king of Asgard, however, is not all satisfied with the punishment of his son. He craves to know the reasons behind his son's actions and just why they occurred all together.

To get answers, Odin bargains with a prisoner for her freedom. This leads Skadi right into Loki's way. After centuries of not seeing each other, the two had now become strangers. Both possessed secrets that had been hidden by the king himself but more importantly they knew each other in more ways than each knew themselves. They were both broken, outcasts, misunderstood. The two were victims of the wrong uprisings and unrequited love. Through Skadi's selfish desire of freedom they are pushed into each other's paths once more but what happens if it is within themselves that they are to break free from the bindings? What happens when the God of Mischief becomes the salvation of the Goddess of War and she becomes the key to his freedom?
