Marks.
Everyone has marks. They take the form of bright, unnatural colors on skin, forming as a result of emotional pain.
Mephisto knows this. He knows that Faust has marks. What he doesn't get is why there's a new mark on his face, bright and vivid, that he refuses to explain. He doesn't get why Faust doesn't want him to know about his other ones.

The Help- Mark of The Egos
When people see things out of the ordinary (or at least, their idea of ordinary), they get defensive. Violent. And all they have to do is see a familiar sign. If anyone has the "mark", they make do to cover it up. Of course, some aren't lucky, and the mark is in plain sight. If one ego is killed, the other egos sense their pain. If one is seriously injured, the egos feel their pain until it stops. And as we all know , there are two ways to stop pain- get cured or get killed. We are now a society that is split into egos and ids. Anti has possessed Jack once again. Darkiplier is hidden in Actor's basement. One phone call, and that all changes. From the same mind who brought you "Glitches of The Improbable" and "Young, Lost and Experts in Game".Complete
Occam's Razor
Palm marks were the most common- everyone knew that. And almost always the result of carelessly accidental contact. It was the entire reason clans like the Uchiha had developed their first meeting rituals the way they had- to provide definitive, immediate proof of a match without the tediousness of thoughtless touches muddying the waters. As much as Sasuke genuinely had no interest in whoever was unlucky enough to bear his mark's match, he can't help but resent the mark itself. Because there was a distinctive, insistent part of him that knew the universe was wrong. Occam's Razor /ˌäkəmz ˈrāzər/ noun A philosophical principle generally understood to be that with competing theories or interpretations, the least complex is to be preferred. or, the simplest explanation is usually the best one.Complete

Something Special
Everyone is born with a mark on their skin, a symbol of something significant to their soulmate. It could be anything from a word to a number to a shape. The difficulty is determining what the mark means, and Arthur thinks that's the stupidest part of this whole "soulmate" thing. How many people actually find their soulmates when all they have to go on is something as insignificant as what amounts to a birthmark? Arthur's is really ridiculous. It's...well, it's so ridiculous Arthur knows that even if he manages to find out who his soulmate is - and why on earth this thing is so special to him - he'll be so horrendously ridiculous that Arthur won't be able to like him even if he tried.Complete
Two Heroes and A Hustler
Everyone is born with at least one black mark on their body, a mark that changes colors upon the first contact with their soulmate/s. In this sense, Deku is no different. But that is where his similarities stop. After working for the yakuza throughout his childhood, Deku is captured during a raid. He meets Present Mic and Eraserhead, who decide to take him to UA rather than send him to a juvenile detention center. Adjusting to the challenging support course and a functional home is difficult enough on it's own, and now this criminal also has to deal with two annoying soulmates. Will his first experience with unconditional love and support get him to break down his carefully constructed walls? Or will they strengthen as he tries to hold on to his old life? TRIGGER WARNINGS - Mentions of child sexual assault (brief mentions and implications, no in depth descriptions) - Disordered eating (specifically binge eating and refeeding) - Explicit sexual content As with my other works, I will be marking (******) where these scenes begin and end. If important dialogue occurs during these scenes I will place a summary in the comments of the ending mark.Complete

She sees how her dad grieves for her mom all the time-even after years-and it breaks her. She wouldn't want to love someone just to wound him at the end. It was easy not to fall in love, only if Ace Timotheo Salvador, her summer enemy, didn't dare touch her scars... as if they were the most beautiful parts of her existence. Zarih feels like losing it... She wants to love and be loved. Maybe he can heal her scars. Maybe their story is different from her dad's. Maybe they can have a happy ending. Or maybe...
