Maria Simons', dream had always been to become a warrior, but as most of you know... dreams never come true - "Girls don't fight" her father had always told her.
Maria knew it wasn't her father's fault his thoughts and his way of life were muddled as such, she knew it was a problem that dwelled deep within the roots of her pack.
Every time Maria had told people about her dreams they would laugh in her face and tell her she was dreaming or had such big aspirations for such a small person. It hurt.
Maria knew she could do anything a man could do but everyone disagreed.
"Stay at home"
"Stop worrying"
"Be a good she-wolf and be quiet"
"You'll be pregnant soon"
And her personal favourite...
"Male's don't want a strong female"
All of these words had shook Maria to the core, but nether-the-less every bad word they had ever spoke - had made her come out stronger, these people had unknowingly fuelled her determination - she wanted to prove them wrong.
But as time went on she started to lose hope... that was until the Alpha found his Luna.
It's a known Pack tradition that once the Alpha had claimed his Luna, there would be a series of battle's to become The Luna's Guard, her protector - her own personal warrior.
No where in the Pack law does it state that females couldn't compete.
This was Maria's one chance... one chance for her dreams to be become a reality.
