Kanya thought that she was just an ordinary (albeit orphan) girl, until the day that she discovers that she's not. Heir of a long line of werewolves, she must now find her own kind by venturing in the Mists that lies just beyond the world as it is perceived, where her kind is now hidden.
On her way, she is met with Amboiselle, an attractive Hunter that seems interested in Kanya for more reasons than just finding a refuge far from the human world.
But they are not alone in the Mists, and many dangers await them on their journey. Among them, a strange little girl in red seems to be guiding them, further and further away from safety...
