This is my take on the prompt - "Imagine your favorite dark character is put on trial, how would they justify their actions?" that I wrote back in 2019 and stumbled upon it now while clearing up my laptop.

Harry Potter is dead, Lord Voldemort is dead. In the aftermath of the war, the Ministry attempts to bring all the dark wizards to justice with the help of the New Order. Voldemort may be dead but Bellatrix is still at large and Hermione unwillingly becomes the face of the resistance in Harry's absence.
