A war fought long ago. An ancient race believed to be extinct.
A looming battle for the right to rule.
A century ago, The War of Black Ash saw the end of dragons and the rise of the Kingdom of Ryk.
Now an impending invasion and internal conflict threatens the kingdom. While their father chooses to lock himself in his study, twin brothers Keaton and Kael are left alone to decide fact from fiction and what to believe for themselves.

Reality as they know it comes crashing down in the blink of an eye.

When Kael disappears from their home one night, Keaton is left to answer many questions on his own.
How could his brother, deathly ill, have simply vanished? Were dragons truly eradicated from Ryk?
What then were the unexplained noises frightening the countryside?

Once the answers are found, Keaton and Kael must rush to right the wrongs, terrified to do the unthinkable.

The last thing they want is to be the cause of a new war.
