"We need to run away from this, Silas." She leant close to the thestral's face, "we don't belong here." She whispered.
And her eyes flickered to the disant glow of the kingdom beyond the forest, where the sun rose brighter each morning and where the people surely weren't yet shrouded in the perpetual darkness of her father's tyrannical reign.

Once upon a time, an evil king wished to rule over all of his world. Forever.
He gained an army and conquered many kingdoms - the giants, the werewolves and many other dynasties fell victim to his ever rising power, not one managing to overpower him or discover how his indestructible nature came to be. In time, the king gained a following - an empire - stronger than any in his world's recorded history. He had destroyed the governments and monarchies of every kingdom the light could touch, and doused them all in darkness leaving the earth a terrifying, cold place. No other king, nor queen, nor anyone had been able to defeat his ruthless magic.
Except one. As when the Dark Lord appeared to the Rulers of the Kingdom of the phoenix, it was not the King nor the Queen who defeated him, but the young prince who, against all odds, shattered the empire the king had built up, restoring the world to its former balance. And the king returned to his castle as a shadow of his former self.
ON HIATUS
And, as is said in every fairy tale, they all lived happily ever after...
Except this is not a fairy tale. And that was not the end. And that was something that Princess Ophelia Riddle knew all too well.

BOOK #3
He's like a storm-unpredictable and dangerous.
I knew he was a sick bastard when he smiled after I hit him the first time.
Annoying and obsessive, that's what he is.
I sensed it early on, but I didn't realize just how deep it ran until his obsession latched onto me.
Until I became the center of his world. Until he started flashing that smug, crooked smile my way.
But we can't... we're not supposed to be together.
We're polar opposites-existing in the same world, but never meant to collide.
Yet, he's ready to tear down everything for me.
But it's not that simple. My brothers are monsters. They'll kill him.
And still, he doesn't care.
----
Glasses perched on his nose, calm and collected.
Exactly my type.
I knew he was meant to be mine the moment our eyes locked, that intense gaze pulling me in.
And I'll have him, no matter what it takes-by any means necessary, even if it costs me everything. I want to hold him in my arms, kiss him until neither of us can breathe.
But why is it so hard? Why does the world push back so fiercely when it comes to him and me?
I want him. And I will have him.
