"Well, as much as I would love to help you, I can't," I stated, with a smug smile.

"Why not?"

"Well, for one you're an asshole," I began harshly, "Secondly, you spent your whole high school career cheating to get your way. Thirdly... well, thirdly I just don't want to?"

"Fine," he responded, pulling his phone from his pocket and placing it on the table, "How about this? You help me, and I don't let anyone see this."

I watched the phone as my brother dragged his nose along a table, inhaling a line of white powder. His face squeezed up, before relaxing a bit, then he smiled at the camera. Unfortunately, he went back a second and a third time. Idiot.

I swallowed hard. It was like I was fighting back every urge to vomit.

"You wouldn't," I managed to utter.

"I disagree," he replied mimicking my smugness adding in that God-awful smile.

                                                                                     ***

Whitley Jennings was a hopeless romantic- at least that's what her friends say. After spending a lifetime watching romcoms and reading romance novels, she'd always imagined herself as the leading lady with a perfect life in her own romance story. However, after falling for her best friend's brother, that dream became a little more complicated.

After getting blackmailed by one of the kings of Atwood High, Whitley learns that matters of the heart are hardly ever as perfect as they seem in the movies. Much worse, she learns what it truly means to earn her place in this world even if that means losing the ones you love along the way.

She may not be perfect, but she's trying her best to survive this year in one piece.

"I didn't ask to be in the middle of your ego-battle," I grumble. Blake pins me to my locker, hands resting on either side of my head. "Well, you got it in anyway, Darling," he whispers. His face is inches away from mine and damn me for licking my lips. I am NOT falling for these guys. And then, at the corner of my eye I spot Owen and his gang approaching. Well, that's just great. *** The West and East gang of Tygerwell have been at each other's throats since the dawn of time. And the two leaders of these gangs want to end the fight, once and for all. But fighting with fists is easy. Fighting with wit and charm, is a whole other ball game. Blake. West-side gang leader. Leather jacket and killer glare. Don't talk back. Owen. East-side gang leader. Fancy coat and toxic stare. Don't resist. And in comes Amber. Hair of gold and oceans in her eyes. Has too much sass for her own good and always, ALWAYS, manages to get into the middle of trouble. But these boys have no idea who they're really dealing with. And when Amber descovers she knows a little too much when it comes to guns and fighting, she has to question everything she thought she knew about herself. Three can play this game. *** "Let's settle this. You got rejected, I got rejected. It's only fair that the fate of the gangs be on who gets the girl first." "That sounds rather good, Rhodes. I'll take that bet on the golden girl." *** COMPLETED FICTION AWARDS: Best new story and best new account Highest ranking in Teen Fiction: #1 on 25/06/2018

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. I fell for a boy with the kindest blue eyes, and a charming dimple. He made me feel loved, and cared for, and most importantly he made me feel safe in his presence. He came right in the middle of a tornadoe and managed to turn it into blue skies. He changed my perspective and gave me hope and strength." I looked at him, and he was smiling, and his eyes were a little glossy. He took my hand and kissed it, a small tear caught in the corner of his beautiful eyes. "I thought, hey, maybe life isn't so bad after all. Maybe I can finally allow myself to love and be loved, and to live life normally. When we went to your party, you told me to wait for you. But then your perverted cousin made me feel super uncomfortable, so I went looking for you, just to be able to feel at peace again. And that's when I saw it." She's a wild, free spirit who sees the good in everyone, and he's the hardened, bad-tempered loner who wants nothing to do with her-yet no matter how hard he tries to push her away, she's the one temptation he can't escape. *** He's never met someone with such a bubbly personality. Not to mention the wildness and odd phrases she says every five minutes. He hates it. He hates how he can't stay away from it. He hates what she does to him; it's not like him to chase after some girl. She gets under his skin like no other. She's never met someone with such a bad attitude. He's ill-mannered and menacing. The glare never seems to leave his face. Considering it all, she can't help but feel the attraction toward him. Dangerous attraction toward a seemingly dangerous man. Maybe it's the tattoos on his arm that gets her attention. Or maybe it's because she can tell there's hope for good under his rough exterior. And she's about to find it, whether he likes it or not. It's no secret that the two of them are complete and total opposites. *** "You like being called Sugar, don't you?" I tease, placing my toothbrush back after finishing. He does the same and gives me a side-eyed scowl. He grips my chin harshly and kisses me. My body temperature raises a good ten degrees and my right leg goes all wiggly. He pulls away. "You like it when I kiss you, don't you?" He teases the same way I did to him and I'm left blubbering. "I think both of our questions are rhetorical," I lower my voice up at him. His lip curls up into a smirk. *** #1 in Young Adult #9 in Badboy #1 in Cold #3 in Goodgirl #1 in Sweetheart #14 in Love *** *Warning* This story contains mature themes (language, scenes)

SHORT CHAPTERS, Update (I thought this was going to be a short story, really, but Romeo and Juliet have other things in mind.) ------ He rips my phone from my hand again and puts it behind him. "Tell me how it works then." "We have to kiss." He looks at me for a few seconds, then grins. I recognize that smile. He's thinking of something mischievous. "A kiss?" "What? Are you worried of kissing me?" His hand swiftly finds the back of my head. A slight tug on my hair and a swift lean in for a kiss leaves me breathless. But breath seems unnecessary. His tongue invades my mouth with a rough yet skilled dance, leading me onto his lap. My hands explore his body, tracing the contours of his chest and arms. ----------------------- Dive into the exhilarating world of Romeo and Juliet as they elevate the game to unprecedented heights. As the reigning players of their school, they're mirror images of each other, identical in spirit but divided by gender. They embark on a daring test of wits and wills against each other. Will they emerge victorious or descend into a battle so fierce they might just claw their eyes out? Ps: This is story has nothing to do with Thank you, Romeo. In fact, this inspired Thank you, Romeo.
