"Well, as much as I would love to help you, I can't," I stated, with a smug smile.
"Why not?"
"Well, for one you're an asshole," I began harshly, "Secondly, you spent your whole high school career cheating to get your way. Thirdly... well, thirdly I just don't want to?"
"Fine," he responded, pulling his phone from his pocket and placing it on the table, "How about this? You help me, and I don't let anyone see this."
I watched the phone as my brother dragged his nose along a table, inhaling a line of white powder. His face squeezed up, before relaxing a bit, then he smiled at the camera. Unfortunately, he went back a second and a third time. Idiot.
I swallowed hard. It was like I was fighting back every urge to vomit.
"You wouldn't," I managed to utter.
"I disagree," he replied mimicking my smugness adding in that God-awful smile.

Whitley Jennings was a hopeless romantic- at least that's what her friends say. After spending a lifetime watching romcoms and reading romance novels, she'd always imagined herself as the leading lady with a perfect life in her own romance story. However, after falling for her best friend's brother, that dream became a little more complicated.
After getting blackmailed by one of the kings of Atwood High, Whitley learns that matters of the heart are hardly ever as perfect as they seem in the movies. Much worse, she learns what it truly means to earn her place in this world even if that means losing the ones you love along the way.
She may not be perfect, but she's trying her best to survive this year in one piece.
SHORT CHAPTERS, Update (I thought this was going to be a short story, really, but Romeo and Juliet have other things in mind.)

He rips my phone from my hand again and puts it behind him. "Tell me how it works then."
"We have to kiss."
He looks at me for a few seconds, then grins. I recognize that smile. He's thinking of something mischievous.
"A kiss?"
"What? Are you worried of kissing me?"
His hand swiftly finds the back of my head. A slight tug on my hair and a swift lean in for a kiss leaves me breathless. But breath seems unnecessary. His tongue invades my mouth with a rough yet skilled dance, leading me onto his lap. My hands explore his body, tracing the contours of his chest and arms.
