Twins Maggie and Annie moved to Salem in the hopes of a new start after Maggie receives a permanent mark on her records for almost killing a classmate for her sister. Though the girls are constantly at each other's throats, there is no better protector than a twin sister.
But the town seems to know more about the girls than it should, and a boy from the strange dark side of town doesn't live up to the rumors spread about his kind.
After strange incidents including earthquakes and burning flesh, the girls begin to wonder if they are really in Salem at all, and if they can trust the people closest to them.
