This is a collection of poems I've written in the last few years (mainly my teenage years, but I might add a couple from when I was younger if they fit the vibe)
This poetry collection is a time capsule of what goes on in my brain. Heavy thoughts, anger, love, passion, longing, teenage angst, joy, and random silly thoughts that bounce around up there.
Please enjoy reading my mind like a floppy old open paperback! :)

Ndubuisi's 155th Sonnet
Shakespeare's *Macbeth* was in my syllabus when I was in secondary school. But *Macbeth* was just an appetiser, for I went on to get the complete works of his. It was as I was reading his sonnets that I tried to mimic his 14-line poems-and the rest is history. I did not simply read Shakespeare; I encountered him. In my "mimicking" of his sonnets, I learnt that a word could be stretched from its primary meaning to other "shades" of meaning. Poetry to me is like a pilgrimage, a path of mystery, a ritual that can transport the poet from where he is to where the subject of his writing is, where he achieves a lived experience. I deliberately chose a rhyming scheme of **AABB CDCD EEFF GG**, with which I wish to import an African voice into the sacred art of sonnet writing. ✨ *OnukaoguOkechi83 is a winner of the Shortys 2025. Don't worry... "I'm okay"
A 15-year-old who speaks about how she grew up in a mental abusive household and how teenagers really feel in situations and how life is not always about what it seems like and how she found love, passion, and her true self and how she would explain situations from a teens point of view and how she overcame heartbreak, fake friends, love, traumatic experiences, and the fear of today's world. This book opens many more things that you were unable to notice or think of or noticed but didn't show it enough importance to it and she also takes about how she overcame suicidal thoughts and how she found help and how she knew that talking about your problems will help relieve stress, and the weight on your shoulders that seem to never seems to leave you. This book will also give you a better understanding on your teenager's choice in their sexuality and teaches people how independency really works and how it's important to give you the success you longedComplete
