When Helene Van Sevrien's father dies--leaving her and her siblings destitute--she leaves behind a life of luxury for one of poverty. Their family's Yzer mines, the one metal that can truly harm and kill the fae, have run dry, and she was forced to learn how to live without servants waiting on her hand and foot. Now they live on the edge of the forest, where the boundary between the human and fae worlds wears thin. All they have to protect them if the face come calling is a single Yzer key that Helene keeps hanging from her neck.

Then her sister Adelaide slips through the cracks and into the forest. When she returns, she has been transformed into something different, something fae-touched.

And she wants to bring Helene and their younger brother Gareth with her. Back into the world of the fae.

The Forest of Iron is a retelling of Snow-White and Rose-Red with a twist and much more magic sprinkled in.
