Percy Jackson has gone through so much due to being a Greek demigod and son of one of the Big Three. After defeating many monsters and deities through his teen years, he believed he would finally settle down and live with his girlfriend, Annabeth Chase, in the mortal world. However, it seems that Fates has a different plan for Percy because Annabeth and all of his friends got killed in the midst of the deadly war.

Feeling hopeless and lost, Percy has decided to leave Camp Half-Blood at age seventeen during the late Summer of 2003 since he has lost all those dear to him, and being in the Camp gives him nightmares and PTSD.

Percy soon reunites with his mother, Sally Jackson, and to his surprised, she confessed that she has been seeing someone after Smelly Gabe's death and when Percy was away doing Quests. However, his mother's partner lives all the way in Forks, Washington. And to his shock, his mother's partner doesn't mind both Sally and Percy living with him.

Percy agrees to move to Forks, but he does not realize is that Fates wanted their Golden Boy to be with his true partner, who would be with him when time gets tough. And his other half is no other than a girl named Leah Clearwater that lives in a tribe near Forks.
