It started with the news stories of a runaway boy. Obviously Sherlock and Watson would be attracted to a case like that. But when they come home from an unsuccessful day, they find the missing boy on their couch posing as a client. Sherlock doesn't know what to think of the boy when he tells him that he's Sherlock's son. What will happen next?
I would highly recommend watching Sherlock before reading this. You may not get some of the references I have added. It also has some spoilers.

Emotional Context
After the fallout from Eurus and Sherringford Sherlock's first mistake was sending Mycroft to deal with Molly and the phone call. From there Molly and Mycroft start an unlikely friendship. Sherlock's second mistake was that he waited months to speak with her regarding the phone call. When Sherlock finally confronts Molly about his feelings he is shocked to see her hesitant and more than a little confused. Did Sherlock wait to long? While taking a much needed holiday, Molly meets a very interesting woman who opens her eyes to the value she has. Molly exams her life and finally finds who she truly is and what she wants.
