Brody was born of a wizard family. He was born in 1995 ... a few years after magic was outlawed. His father was brutally tortured and murdered by the MPA, the Magic Protection Agency. They existed in order to strike fear into the hearts of those who would ever think of using magic. Brody living in 2021 decided to take the agency down so that magic can be used freely by everyone in the world.
