"No. I never returned to the Temple. When the... The Purge happened. I was off-world. But I felt it. I only wish I could have seen my master before then. I owe him everything. And now, I can't repay him."

"Why not? He could still be out there!" 

"... No. It's better off if I believe he's dead. Along with the rest of the Jedi." 

"How could you say that? He's a Jedi- he's your master!"

"Because it's easier to let go. Even if he was alive like me he'll just want to stay in the shadows and hide from the Empire for as long as he can. I know Master Se. And he's no fool."

It's been 10 years since the fall of the Republic; Carla Blaine, ex-Padawan to Jedi Master Zolvo Se, is hiding from the Empire along with her droid, R9-D4, under the name of Callie Blake as a normal mechanic. 

But when she meets the Solar crew she has her hands full with training a member of their crew as her apprentice and finding her own path as both sides of the Force are calling out to her. 

 With Inquisitors, Purge Troopers and stormtroopers at every turn. She'll either stand with the Rebellion and her new friends or keep hiding until she has nowhere else to go and give the Inquisitors an opportunity to give their master a new trophy or a new ally...

This fanfic explores a different ending to TROS starting at about the halfway point, when Kylo reveals the truth about Rey in the hangar. It will focus mainly on their story but there will be significant plot arcs that focus on Finn, Poe, Leia, and others. Anakin Skywalker will not become Darth Vader. Not yet, anyway. Padmé saved him from a lifetime of regret by pulling him out of the fateful battle between Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine. But at some point, he still has to decide if his heart lies with the Jedi or the Sith. Palpatine, undeterred by the loss of his potential apprentice, still devises a way to create the Empire and wipe out the vast majority of the Jedi. He sends various threats directly to Anakin and Padmé to convince them that they and their newborn children are in danger. Fearing for their safety, they split. For years, Anakin and Leia wander throughout the galaxy, dodging the Empire and searching for a greater purpose. Meanwhile, Padmé raises Luke while working with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma to lead the fight against the oppressive Galactic Empire. Anakin is constantly tempted by the Dark Side. Padmé struggles to help the Rebels succeed. Their children mean everything to both of them. The story also features other characters we all know and love, such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Han Solo, and Boba Fett. Most of the story takes place 7 years after Revenge of the Sith. Please note that I would never change the canon; this story is intended to explore what could have happened, not what should have happened. OCs are used very sparingly. Thanks for reading! The way of the Mandalore is not an easy path to follow, but it is all Nakoa Sen has ever known. As a child, he found himself being raised by a Mandalorian covert, one of the first who called themselves Children of the Watch. Nakoa later chose to venture into the galaxy as a bounty hunter, to provide for his new Clan. He stumbles across Lesia Mirri and eventually recruits her help for a mission. He quickly learns that while he devoutly follows his code, there are others who abhor rules of any kind. Nakoa soon finds himself wondering if he truly knows what path he wants to follow, and if he can actually break the code that his people hold so dear. A sinister voice now whispers, and a flash of blue light reveals a fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers filling the vastness of space as blue fire leaps between them. A powerful red laser of an unseen weapon obliterates the surface of a planet. Shrieks, whispers and screams and then the sound of a lightsaber igniting. A fiery red saber but behind that saber is Rey, her hand twitches and the saber becomes a double-pronged staff. A maniacal evil laugh cackles. Kylo woke with a start and sat upright on his bed. Written after the first trailer dropped and finished before the film was released. Contains references to previous films, novelisations and comics.
