Meet Me After Class
So who will it be for this hopelessly unromantic girl? The brooding best friend? Or the young and unquestionably attractive substitute teacher? They say every person is worth the potential heartbreak of relationships not working out. That's why people still take that leap. But not me. Never been kissed, never had a boyfriend-I was pretty convinced by now that I was one of those mega-rare exceptions to the rule; the unlucky sap was just not worth the risk. And I'm totally fine with that. Romance and heartbreak? Not worth the hype in my book. Until life decided to get all snarky on me. "Fooled you, idiot! COMPLETED✅ Two high school teenagers finding themselves, analyzing this ever changing world, and building love. This is the type of love you wish you found in high school but probably know way too well that it only exists as fiction. Today I'm turning my fiction to reality. ❣️•••❣️ Excerpt: Just as I was about to seek shelter under some building's roof, the tires of a car come to a halt, I wonder who might pity the lonely girl walking in the rain. The passenger window rolls down, and I spot the most unexpected person seated behind the wheel. "Get in" comes out his voice, and I must've stood there agape for a few moments because next comes his rhetorical question. "Are you getting in or continuing walking in the rain?" Eyebrows raised expectantly. Her Conscience
Star is a different type of girl. Ever since she got detached from her divorced, emotionally unavailable parents, she's been filling up her quiet, lonely world with music and dancing. She's practically a musical prodigy at 16 and music can't possibly be taken away from her. The only people she's ever been really close to are her psycho, over enthusiastic bff's. They're the only people she can tolerate anyway. That's until one fateful day when she meets a cocky, narcissistic, though really cute guy at her favourite fro yo shop who gets under her skin for just being himself. She absolutely detests guys like him. Absolutely gorgeous, frustratingly charming, cocky as hell and shockingly talented at music. That's right. Star discovers that this seemingly unbearable guy loves music almost as much as she does and just that single fact makes her heart soften a little so she lets her guard down for just a tiny bit. But after that one moment that she decides to let it down, she realises that she can't get it back up again. She discovers she can actually feel things and once she acknowledges this, her whole world is completely changed from the quiet, peaceful, drama free life she has always been used to into a series of drama, heartbreak, tears, broken trusts and friendships. |Featured X1| @romance(high school romance)Complete
