Or does it come down to popular vote, a decision made by the masses who come to the agreement that a simple genetic alteration disqualifies you? Maybe it wouldn't matter in a time where everything was fine. But now, the planet is on fire, the air is filled with smoke, and radiation is poisoning and killing everything but the Invulnerables.
And the human race is not happy.
Connor and his older brother, Roland, are human in every sense of the word. Except, they're unaffected by the radiation wiping out the rest of humanity. Now, the government organization LIFELINE is hunting them and others with their mutation.

Running from our future
Centuries ago this was a great planet, now it's a husky shadow of its former beauty. Though the remnants of its former magic still linger it was destroyed by power hungry scientists. More tests to make more technology to go further, faster more this more that. Boom It all went up in flames, radiation spilled out into South America from the global power station in Brazil. The nuclear plant 15 times that of Chernobyl blew its top. The initial explosion flattened Brazil and the shockwaves were felt from the Florida keys. But the thing that truly ruined the world was the nuclear fallout. it rained down everywhere turning the world into a desolate wasteland deserts for miles and miles. Now you live in districts to survive, but what's the good in just being a number. Why would you look forward to a future of infant nothing, can you run from that? Where would you go? Where have the people who have escaped gone? Is that a future? What if there's someone who got left behind? *Prologue* To be entirely honest with you, I never really considered my future. It's not like I needed to...right? Why would you care about jobs and your educational success when you could be scavenging for food, perhaps? I mean what use is your academic future in the apocalypse? Dramatic right?
