Alexandrina McAdams had been having a rough life. Her mom died at birth (She doesn't really believe that) and her dad left her on the side of the road when she was two. Alex had been working for June and George since. Now her life is pretty steady, actually loving life until she has haunting nightmares with a chilling voice and complete blackness. Alex goes to Miami, Florida and comes back, forever changed.

Leo Valdez hated his life. He had been molded by Hera and Gaea for his entire life. After saving the world, he actually died. But came back, DUH! Leo saved the love of his life, Calypso from her prison. She gave up her immortality to stay with him forever. Sorta makes sense. Then Calypso died from an attack of wild demigods. He tried to bring her back, but she wouldn't come. He had been living with guilt and heartbreak since.
