After an unsuccessful suicide attempt, Dallon is placed in a holding cell as a temporary means of keeping him safe. There he meets an overly eccentric, far too confident man with a fashion sense straight out of 2005 and a personality that makes Dallon's brain pound against his skull. Oddly enough, though, he finds his fate entangled with this man's, and he can't rip himself away no matter how hard he tries.

Feeling his gaze, the guy turned to him, smirking slightly in a crooked, awkward manner. His glasses reflected the nauseating fluorescent lights in the cell back at Dallon. "Damn dude, you look like you want to kill yourself." He remarked, amused. "So what're you in for?"

"Um," Dallon turned away, staring hard at his hands. He swallowed, "I tried to kill myself."

It was a while later when Brendon woke up again. He noticed a sharp pain in his wrist and saw the swelling. He was pretty sure it was more than a sprain. He stood slowly and was able to walk. "Sarah, wake up. Something's happened," Brendon spoke while gently shaking her awake. Her eyes slowly opened. "Bren, what's wrong?" She asked. "I'm not sure," he said. He helped her to stand when her leg suddenly gave out. She was squeezing his arm tightly. "Bren, what's wrong? I can't walk," She said as worry filled her eyes and voice. "I'm not sure," he said and picked her up. He carried her out of their room, ignoring the pain in his wrist, and into the main part of the bus. Mike, Dallon, Dan, and Zack were all making their way out from the back bunks. He didn't see Ryleigh among them. Kenny, Dan, and Zack seemed to be okay but Dallon was limping, held up solely by Kenny and Dan. "What happened?" Brendon asked them. "I think the bus had an accident." Zack said first. "Brendon, whatever happened, I did something to my ankle I can't walk,"Dallon spoke up. "We'll figure this out, I think I broke my wrist and Sarah can't walk either," Brendon said. Panic was beginning to settle in as Brendon realized no one noticed she was gone. "Have you all seen Ryleigh?" Brendon asked as Sarah held tightly to his neck. All the band members began looking around and Zack checks the bunks. "No, but Brendon, don't freak out. We'll find her. She isn't in her bunk or anywhere on this bus." Zack said. Brendon felt the tears welling in his eyes as reality set in. ***This book is the 3rd book in The Urie's Daughter series. Do NOT read unless you've read the others. "God, Gerard," he moaned, "Are you that oblivious?" Frank watched him nod with a shrug. He rolled his eyes and continued nonetheless, "I really like you. I just wanna be fucking normal!" He huffed rubbing his eyes, "I wanna do stuff that I would do if we were normal. Like fucking romance shit. Like holding hands on the roof and looking at stars. Or sing to my Pandora station while we clean parts of the church before Sunday. Or make out in the back of my car and listen to my favorite songs. And god I would kill to dance in the rain with you and not have to worry about anything. No vampire shit. No age gap. No fucking rumors. You know that half of this goddamn town knows about my love life?" He removed his hands from his eyes to stare at Gerard who was staring back intensely, "It sucks. Everything sucks. My fucking life sucks." TRIGGER WARNINGS: mentions of gore, mentions of loss, mentions of suicide, suicidal thoughts, and suicidal actions, MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH
