Society, or what was left of society as humans knew was nothing more than a remnant of a once thriving species. Humanity? Near extinct, eradicated in a fatal global attack which would soon be known by the survivors as 'The Fall.' The surface? Uninhabitable and the atmosphere toxic to anyone who walked upon its surface. At least, that's what Kahu Loken had been led to believe.

Taken from his family as a child during the chaos, Kahu was never expected to survive, no one was. His abduction, like many others, was simply a sacrifice, an object of hope for the salvation of the human race. Having defied the odds against him and survived the past fifteen years in an underground bunker, clearly his sacrifice paid off.

For Kahu, and those around him, his sacrifice was all that seemed to be left, until simply surviving wasn't enough, not anymore. With the help of the only few people left on Earth that he considers his family, Kahu will discover that maybe the world has more to offer than just survival, that perhaps, there is an entire new life he could only dream of waiting for him.
